To begin with, Angela and her assistant, Sarah, came and gave us advice on staging our house. We spent maybe $200 doing a few repairs and de-cluttering. The house looked so good we almost didn't list it! Then, Angela did a lot of research on the market to determine the right price at which to list our house. After one day on the market, we had 5 offers for over the asking price! She helped get us the best deal, and then immediately turned to finding the perfect house for us to buy. We found it within a week, and with Angela's help, were able to negotiate the price to well under listing. Angela's smart and funny, and very hard working. It was a pleasure to work with her. I would recommend her to anyone.

My wife and I were recently in the market to buy a new home and sell our existing home. We were disinclined to use an agent as my wife and I are attorneys who could handle the task ourselves. After Mrs. Murtagh successfully and quickly sold our neighbor's condo, we decided to try her as a buying and listing agent. As to the listing experience, Mrs. Murtagh gave us advice on what aesthetic improvements needed to be made prior to the sale of our home, and had access to several contacts who were reliable and efficient in completing these improvements. While it was painful to cut those home improvement checks at the time, the finished product was much more marketable than before. Angela got to work right away, even while the work was being done. In fact, Mrs. Murtagh had already brought several potential buyers to view our home while the work was being done to it, and she successfully obtained an offer of 97% of our asking price before the improvements had been completely finished. As to buying, Angela was an excellent choice. We did virtually nothing except review and sign documents. She found out what we wanted in a home, tracked down units on the market, brought us to view them, and after we found one we liked, she handled everything else from there. When you are a busy professional, you realize the value of time, so an agent that competently handles everything on your behalf is invaluable. In summary, Angela is competent, friendly, and experienced. She saved us time and money, provided great counsel, and knew how to be aggressive (but professional) when necessary. I would recommend Angela without reservation.

Boy was I wrong. First you have to fight for your price with buyers, appraisers, etc. After that is agreed upon, then you have an inspection. As in my case an inspection on a 100 year old house, revealed a lot of work. Luckily I had you on my team. How we sold our house in 5 days!! I first met Angela kind of by chance when I listed my house "For Sale By Owner". After a week of that, it was apparent I needed the help of a pro. We spoke to a few agents, and decided to go with Angela. That's when she went in to ACTION!!! After almost ten years we had outgrown our starter home and wanted to upgrade. When it came time to put our house on the market I recalled meeting Angela at one of her listings. She worked incredibly hard and we got nothing short of an amazing deal. When Gustav hit and we hadn't closed on either house, she kept in constant contact. And when it looked impossible to close on our new house by the sale of our old house, Angela charged ahead, didn't give up and we ended up closing on both houses on the same day! She was so supportive, knowledgeable and willing to take my late night frantic phone calls and texts - it was really a pleasure doing business with her. It has been a couple of months now and we still marvel that it all worked out! I recommend her to everyone I know and although I hope I don't have to move for a very long time, would only use Angela.

After Hurricane Katrina, I was transferred by my company into the New Orleans area. I was in hot pursuit of a house in the Uptown historic section of New Orleans but had no idea who to call in to help me with my search. As a transplant from Upstate New York, I knew little about the market. After several weeks of driving around and talking to many Realtors, I was driving down Magazine St and I saw a sign for a property that Angela Murtagh had listed.
